Gregory DeCandia is an MFA graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill’s Professional Actor Training Program and received his BFA from Emerson College. He is the Founder and current Executive Director of Ignition Arts. For the last four years he was the Head of the re-imagined BA Theatre and Performance program at Oklahoma City University. Most recently Gregory was on stage as James Reston Jr in Frost/Nixon at Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. Last May marked his digital directorial debut with elevated, a devised adaptation of elevated thoughts: 100 shadormas from 9,000 ft. from the poetry graphic novel from Literati Press. His new play Animals was read at the National Winter Playwrights Retreat January 2019 and with Ignition Arts in November 2020.
